The number one reason cats are returned after adoption is unknow allergies. While some conditions are severe & do not respond to interventions, several people have reported relief by employing these measures. - Do not allow the cat into the bedroom. This is the one room where humans spend at least 8 hours out of every 24.
- Vacuum carpeted areas & furniture every day.
- Try using Claritin Allergy Relief oral medication, Visine eye drops & Nasal Crom nasal spray......follow directions given on the different products.
- Once a week, wipe the cat down with Simple Solution Allergy Relief towels. These can be obtained at any pet specialty store.
- Try using a Netti Pot to clear congestion and pressure in the sinuses and nasal passages. Since the nasal passages are the body's first line of defense against germs, dust, smoke, and other airborne allergens, it only makes sense to keep them clean and moist.
