Why shouldn't I give my kittens away in front of local businesses? |

There are many dangers... Some people feed them to their snakes, use them for torture or other horrible things. Even if the kitten goes to a nice home there is a good possibility that the owner won't spay or neuter because of the cost, or the owner gets busy and forgets to do it. Here's what happens: • Average number of litters a fertile cat can produce in one year: 3 • Average number of kittens in a feline litter: 4-6 • In 7 years, 1 female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats. • 6-8 million cats and dogs end up in shelters every year and 1/2 of them get euthanized.
