All owners giving up adult cats are required to release the pet's vet records to RescueCats, Inc. and must bring the records at the time of relinquishment of the pet. If vaccinations are not up to date, & the cat is not tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids (FeLV/FIV) within the past three months the required relinquishment fee is higher. If you have a kitten or a group of kittens that are healthy, tame, under six months old and want to have them spayed/neutered, tested and vaccinated before we take them, instead of giving a cash contribution for their care, we will give you the names of several vets that specialize in pediatric surgeries. PetOrphans.com also has a large selection of pediatric vets listed under spay/neuter. *We strongly recommend that all kittens and cats have at least one distemper combo (RCPC) vaccination and one Bordetella vaccination several weeks before coming to us.
